Prom Looks

We don't really have proms in Denmark, but some schools have galas which remind a bit about it. I never had prom :( Right after I graduated high school - or gymnasium as we call it here - they started the gala tradition... whaaa... but oh well, I'll just imagine that I'm going ;)

I put together 2 looks - a classy look and a more colourful and playful look. I found everything on H&M and used their online dressing room (genius). The model is supposed to be me... blond and very natural... I would probably wear my hair like her ;)

The classy look

 

This look is very classic and simple :) I'm not very tall, so I would look even smaller in a long dress. That's why I chose this dress. It's short in front but I would still feel like I'm wearing a gala dress because of the length in the back. It's very classy with the high neckline, but still it shows a bit of skin in the back :) And to help me with my height are the nude pumps that elongate my legs. To keep the classic feel of the look, I've chosen only a few accessories and they match each other with the gold colour.

The colourful and playful look

 In Denmark people often choose long dresses in neutral colours for these kind of events. With this colourful look, I'm pretty sure you would turn some heads ;) I think it's a beautiful dress with an exotic feel to it - you could wear it at the beach. But prom is still a classy event, so keep that in mind before you put on your Hawaii necklace ;) I've chosen a blue bag and stilettos with blue details to maintain a "theme". You could go all out with even more colours, but for this occassion I would stick to the same colours. The neckline is already blinged out, so I skipped the necklace and went for earrings instead (the same ones as in the first look).

I hope you felt inspired by this. The prices are in Danish kroner, but you can get the looks for around 120-140 USD or 90-110 EUR. You could probably do it for less, and just play around with the accessories and shoes you've already got :)
